About the Role We’re looking for a Technical Screening Lead who can evaluate engineering candidates with precision, fairness, and efficiency. You will design and run high-signal interviews across AI/ML, backend, full-stack, and systems roles β€” helping us identify world-class talent without unnecessary complexity or fluff. This role requires engineering depth, great judgment, and the ability to instantly recognize real technical competence. --- Responsibilities Candidate Evaluation β€’ Assess candidates via coding interviews, systems design discussions, and problem-solving sessions β€’ Evaluate ML/AI fundamentals when needed (LLMs, RAG, vector DBs, infra basics) β€’ Provide crisp, structured, and unbiased feedback Assessment Design β€’ Build, refine, and maintain scalable technical assessments β€’ Improve rubrics, scorecards, and interview workflows β€’ Ensure evaluations reflect real engineering work β€” not trivia Collaboration β€’ Work closely with hiring managers, engineers, and founders β€’ Calibrate expectations across teams to ensure a consistent hiring bar β€’ Help shape how we scale our global AI talent pipeline --- Ideal Candidate You're a fit if you: β€’ Are a senior-level engineer (full-stack, ML, backend, or systems) β€’ Have strong interviewer or hiring-committee experience β€’ Can rapidly decompose technical explanations and detect real depth β€’ Communicate clearly, calmly, and professionally β€’ Care about fairness, structure, and candidate experience Nice to have β€’ Experience evaluating AI/ML engineering candidates β€’ Familiarity with modern AI stacks (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector DBs) β€’ Experience designing hiring processes or assessment systems --- What Success Looks Like Within your first 90 days, you will have: β€’ Run multiple high-signal technical screens end-to-end β€’ Improved scoring rubrics, interview structure, and evaluation clarity β€’ Helped raise and standardize the engineering hiring bar β€’ Become a trusted partner for our hiring and engineering teams --- Perks & Benefits β€’ Flexible remote hours β€’ Competitive project-based compensation β€’ Influence how we hire globally across AI and engineering β€’ Work alongside world-class founders and technical leaders --- How to Apply πŸ“§ Send your GitHub / LinkedIn + short intro to: **jesse@nextbeginz.com** What to Include: β€’ Short intro + relevant interviewing experience β€’ Links to GitHub or notable engineering work β€’ Your availability and earliest start date
